MARIAN KRAUSE HEART FUND

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of longtime ASR
volunteer
and
one of our founding members, Marian Krause.
Marian passed away recently as a result of post-surgical complications. Her loss is deeply felt throughout the ASR family and by the many people and animals whose lives she touched over the years.
Marian served ASR in countless capacities through the years, including Intake Coordinator, Home Visit Coordinator, and Secretary for the Board of Directors. No matter the task, Marian was always willing to step in wherever and whenever she was needed. Her dedication, reliability, and commitment helped shape ASR into the organization it is today.
Marian worked tirelessly to find ways to save dogs, often spending hours on late-night calls trying to figure out how to squeeze in just one more dog in need. No challenge was ever too great when it came to helping an animal.
Marian was known for her sharp wit, wonderful sense of humor, and deep love of animals. She brought both compassion and practicality to rescue work and was especially respected for her skill as a dog handler. Her most recent dog, Enzo, was her pride and joy, and together they participated in obedience and K-9 Nosework trials.
For those fortunate enough to know her, Marian will be remembered not only for her many contributions to rescue but also for her kindness, friendship, and unwavering willingness to help others.
The ASR family extends our heartfelt condolences to Marian's family and friends. Her legacy will continue through the many dogs she helped save and the volunteers she inspired along the way.
We know King, Hero, Heidi, Maggie Mae, and many, many more were waiting to greet you with great joy at the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy, Marian. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
To honor Marian’s memory, All Shepherd Rescue is pleased to announce the formation of the "Marian Krause Heart Fund," a Memorial Fund for dogs who enter rescue with heart-related medical conditions, including treatment for the many who test positive for heartworms. All donations made in her honor will support this fund to help cover the expenses related to this critical need in rescue.
