Update : Ivy was taken to a specialist vet for her eyes ......so the good news it is highly treatable with daily eye drops but she will need them probably for the rest of her life. She has an auto immune disease called Pannus ( see link below ) http://www.pethealthnetwork.com/dog-health/dog-diseases-conditions-a-z/pannus-dogs Ivy is adjusting well to the eye drops and we will be training her to use doggie goggles . Ivy lived in a home with kids , dogs and a cat but when the adults split up, neither had time for her and she ended up in a shelter . Luckily a great foster stepped up and she is relaxing in a foster home instead of a noisy shelter . She is new to us and we are learning about her but we do know she LOVES toy! Ivy was turned into the shelter with inflamed sclera - the white around the pupil of her eye-- and the shelter vet prescribed antibiotic ointment as well as a visit with a Veterinary Ophthalmologist , which we are scheduling asap. We will update after she has had her Vet visit. If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $300.00. More about IVYDoes Good in the Car, Cratetrained, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Goofy Other Pictures of IVY (click to see larger version):
