Kim Box Memorial Fund for Senior or "Fospice" Dogs
![]() ![]() All Shepherd Rescue is heartbroken to share that on 5/29/25, Kimberly Box lost her courageous battle with cancer. Kim's passion for dogs was strong, and even while undergoing many treatments, Kim continued to volunteer in any role she could.
Kim served in many roles for ASR. She was a member of the Board of Directors, a puppy foster, and worked with the reference team on application reviews. Her true calling, though, was as Foster Coordinator, as she worked tirelessly to find fosters for dogs that were out of time in shelters. She also had a huge soft spot for the seniors. She would have pulled every single senior who was in danger and grieved for those we could not help. Kim was preceded in death by her white German Shepherd Kody, a "foster fail" who was her constant companion throughout her lengthy illness. Kody never left her side until his sudden death due to hemangiosarcoma. Kim is survived by her husband, Jeff, and their other GSD, Karma. As treatments failed and she knew her time was short, she asked that in lieu of any flowers, donations be made to All Shepherd Rescue. To honor her memory, All Shepherd Rescue is pleased to announce the formation of the Kim Box Memorial Fund for Senior or "Fospice" dogs.... dogs that will remain permanent fosters due to age-related or other medical issues. All donations made in her honor will be distributed to this fund to help cover the expenses related to caring for seniors or "fospice" dogs in ASR's care. ![]() |
