Ares is a very dear, sweet, loving, and loyal german shepherd who gets along with children and other dogs.   Unfortunately, he needs a new forever home.

When he was brought home as a puppy, 7 years ago, his person’s lifestyle was very different.  Ares went everywhere with her but the  past 2-3 years she no longer has time to provide him with the attention and exercise that a smart and active german shepherd deserves.   But she loves him very much and wants the best for him.  

He has been living with a very young child for the past 3 years (0-3), although he isn't always aware of his size.  He lives peacefully with one small 20 lb dog and gets along great at doggie daycare.

Ares is very smart and already knows some commands, SIT, LAY DOWN, SHAKE, COME, GENTLE.    As an intelligent german shepherd, he will probably enjoy bonding during training classes and learning new skills.  

He was attacked by a dog on a walk at one time, so he would benefit from training so he is not wary of dogs when on a leash.

Ares is a devoted companion dog.  He wants to be with his person, taking walks and playing fetch, and enjoying all the joys and adventures of life together.  Could that be you?
