Ramsey is a big, lovable guy who was turned over to a shelter because his family was not able to spend as much time with him. He lived with a 4 year-old child, and two pomeranians. He loves to play ball and tug. 

Ramsey is getting settled into his new foster home and we will post updates as we know more. At this present time, he has not been cat tested.

11/22/14 Ramsey is quickly learning the rules of the house, and testing his limits with the three resident dogs. He likes to play-bow while barking (loudly!) and offering his paw. We are working on curtailing the loud barking.

Ramsey sleeps well in his crate at night but will protest when crated during the day. His complaints are short lived, and he's still in the crate when his humans return!  Toys, especially the squeaky ones, are his favorite. He loves treats and is quite food motivated. On walks, Ramsey is following the lead of his male fur-sibling and heeling quite nicely. He shows little interest in other dogs or people along the way. It seems Ramsey missed out on consistent training in his youth but he appears ready to have a good leader. He's a sweet boy in need of consistency, direction, and a strong leader/handler.  

12/8/14 Update: Ramsey has made himself at home and is doing well.  He loves going for walks and is much improved with the "heel" and "wait" commands.  He still likes to make his presence known with a loud bark but will quiet when told to "down".  He's a big, lovable, goofball so a sense of humor will be needed in his new home.

Ramsey races the other dogs to the bedroom at night in anticipation of the "bedtime cookie". He goes straight into his crate and waits his turn...he's number four in the pack! Ramsey also thinks it's fun to join his human in the shower, with a toy! If he can't join you, he's content to sit on, and warm, the bath mat.
