Jesse's Sponsorship Page
Update : Jesse is beginning to relax but seems to be more relaxed around women than men. Sudden movements startle him. If left alone he will approach people for treats and to be leashed but he is like a deer, the slightest movement might startle him so slow and steady is best.
Any potential adopters will have to meet him and work with him several times before he could be adopted and agree to follow the transition program to help Jesse settle in smoothly.
Jesse is a very sweet boy and has a very playful nature .......but his transition has to be slow so he can build up trust with his adopter. He will only be adopted to a home without children and with experience with under socialized German Shepherds .
UPDATE : JESSE is still very confused and will need additional time to decompress . He is beginning to take treats and takes them very gently.
Once he has become a bit more relaxed around us we will be able to introduce him .
He will need a quiet home, older kids or no kids since he has not lived with them, and adopters who have some familiarity with super shy dogs.
Jesse was very much loved but his human passed away unexpectedly and no one in the family could take him. Rather than take him to a shelter they reached out for rescue help and we were so happy we could take him.
Volunteers picked him up in NC and brought him here to MD . All who have met him say he is affectionate and warms up quickly.
Jesse is very sweet but understandably a little confused with all the changes in his life.
We will post updates soon and allow him time to decompress and relax in his new surroundings .
If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $350.00.
